ABOUT

I am a Resident in Counseling based in Alexandria, VA. Since 2010, I’ve been counseling adolescents and families in the school setting. As I transition to private practice, my clinical interests are anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and adjustments, relationships, spirituality, and identity in adults. Since 2014, I’ve been teaching yoga and I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher. I incorporate the mind-body connection into my counseling work as well as mindfulness and breathing techniques. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and solution-focused, integrating other treatment modalities that fit the client’s needs in the moment. Creating a therapeutic alliance built on empathy, compassion, trust, and authenticity is of utmost importance to me. Additionally, I have a passion for counseling moms with postpartum depression and anxiety.

My husband and I have 3 children. We love Del Ray and have lived here since 2016. I look forward to journeying with you through the counseling process to a place of self-exploration, self-compassion, and self-healing.
